This project uses potatoes as the print maker. It is a fun way for kids to make a really great looking print without having to be overly artistic. The printed paper can be used for back to school book covers. I was lucky enough to find large white sheets of easily foldable paper for this project, but CreateForLess has a great roll of Brown Paper, perfect for book covers and print making!
Supplies:
Start by cutting the potato into quarters.
Cover the flat half circle side with pink paint and make impressions with it on the paper.
Let the pink paint dry.
Use a flat brush and paint an arch of green over the pink print. Let the green dry.
Use the end of the brush, dip it into the brown/black paint and dot on the seeds of the watermelon.
Once the paper is dry it can be used to cover books!
