Q: My adhesive won’t hold my project together. What am I supposed to use?
A: It depends on what your project is and what you’re trying to adhere together. Some adhesives may not hold heavier items so it would be best to choose a liquid glue. Some paper surfaces wrinkle with anything but tape. You’re best choice is to look at what you are trying to adhere together and then try your choice of adhesive on a scrap piece first. Q: My bottle of Stickles is clogged and I can’t get any out. What can I do?
A: The best way to remove a clog is to use a paper clip or needle to open up the neck of the bottle and then push it down in so that it opens any clogged area right at the neck opening. It, also, helps to store the bottles upside down when not in use.
Q: What is a magnetic platform used for with a die cutting machine?
A: It is a great piece to purchase in addition to your machine. It’s used to hold the metal dies in place while cutting. There is no more worry about the die moving and you not getting the paper cut where you wanted. It’s great to use when you want a specific area of patterned paper die cut.
Q: I love the new stamp and die sets that are out, but what is the best way to use them?
A: The easiest way is to stamp the image on a piece of cardstock and then send it through your die cut machine. This way you don’t have to try to line the stamp up with the smaller edges of the already cut paper. You can color the image before you die cut it or after.
Q: I’m having trouble getting my paper lined up on my card base. Is there a way I can easily do this?
A: A centering ruler is very helpful with this task. The ruler is designed so that zero is in the center and allows for the center of all papers and embellishments to be easily found when placed against the ruler.
